I am working on a new book as a kind of follow-up to Halfway There: Lessons at Midlife. It's about the things we've stopped noticing, what they mean, and why it's important to pay attention. I am currently working on a first draft.
I completed a memoir in 2015 that documents the beginnings of my own spiritual journey, and offers a look into how I became the person who would later write Halfway There. It centers around a 9-month yoga teacher training program that I completed with a traditional teacher from India, and moves through the time just before I wrote Halfway There. I am currently doing rewrites.
I started writing free verse poetry from my bed when I was recovering from multiple surgeries in 2015. I continue to write them in a notebook I keep in my nightstand, and I will be working to pull some of them into a collection as I have the space and inclination. I will also be submitting to literary journals in the interim.
Indigo Sunrise is a new creative project and will become my new blog site. It may also house information about editing services, coaching, or book marketing that I will be offering to other writers and/or publishers. Check back soon!
